For those of you who live in caves, there are these signs along roadways that display traffic warnings and/or directions. And tampering with them is a misdemeanor (see malicious mischief) at the least, and potentially if a fatality occurs (due to failure to obey the original warning – extreme case) you’d probably be looking at extended jail time.

Now I can’t say I would condone this, but when I see things like the above image I can’t help but laugh. Who’s going to look bad if there really are people looking for “bwainnnsss” up ahead?

Hopefully if anyone does this they do it on a sign that has a boring warning in the first place, like “Drive Safely”. As if we don’t follow that to a letter every single time we get in a car, except for the rare occurrence that you just HAVE to finish a text message.
