Betamax Atari

The current format war got me thinking about what might have been, had Sony used their current strategy to win the Betamax/VCR format war. Oh well, too bad, no do-overs.

Star Trek Enterprise

Moviefone had the first picture of the new Star Trek Enterprise from J.J. Abrams new Star Trek XI movie. It looks pretty sharp, and if you want to see the trailer for the new film, it will be attached before that other little J.J. Abrams project, “Cloverfield”. It’s bound to get alot of Star Trek fans excited, some may even show up to “Cloverfield” just to see this trailer. To see a larger picture, Click Here.

Well Warner Bros. seems to think this is the format that “the people chose”. I disagree. You had better get used to this type of thing though if you support Blu-Ray. The video is a little lengthy, because it’s real time, but it’s very educational and a little comical, but as far as business goes this is sad and unacceptable.

Morgan Spurlock

Release Date: 2008

You may remember Morgan Spurlock as the documentary filmmaker who brought us “SuperSize Me”. “SuperSize Me” was a huge hit for the filmmaker, educating people about the many negative effects of the fast food industry.

Morgan Spurlock is at it again, with people saying that he has really hit the jackpot of documentary film making. The premise of the film is that Morgan Spurlock’s girlfriend will be having his baby in about 8 weeks and he wants to make the world a safer place by finding Osama Bin Laden.

There is alot of speculation that he actually finds Osama Bin Laden, and his directory of photography, Daniel Marricone, says that Spurlock has “definitely got the holy grail.” Does this mean he found it, well according to sources, this is what happens. This is a Spoiler Alert, so stop reading now if you don’t want to know what happens.

“At the end of the movie, he is about to go into the Tribal Area of Pakistan, where a huge sign says no outsiders allowed, you will be shot. He thinks about his kid and decided to turn around.”

“It’s a funny movie, and it shows crazy footage. He basically goes in the middle east and finds out why everyone hates America. It does offer a interesting look in the middle east, a different view that Americans haven’t seen before. But no Bin Laden.”

And that’s basically it. Again, none of this is confirmed at this point, but seems likely. I’m sure the movie will still be very interesting, but most likely of course, no Bin Laden.
