Star Trek Enterprise

Moviefone had the first picture of the new Star Trek Enterprise from J.J. Abrams new Star Trek XI movie. It looks pretty sharp, and if you want to see the trailer for the new film, it will be attached before that other little J.J. Abrams project, “Cloverfield”. It’s bound to get alot of Star Trek fans excited, some may even show up to “Cloverfield” just to see this trailer. To see a larger picture, Click Here.

Morgan Spurlock

Release Date: 2008

You may remember Morgan Spurlock as the documentary filmmaker who brought us “SuperSize Me”. “SuperSize Me” was a huge hit for the filmmaker, educating people about the many negative effects of the fast food industry.

Morgan Spurlock is at it again, with people saying that he has really hit the jackpot of documentary film making. The premise of the film is that Morgan Spurlock’s girlfriend will be having his baby in about 8 weeks and he wants to make the world a safer place by finding Osama Bin Laden.

There is alot of speculation that he actually finds Osama Bin Laden, and his directory of photography, Daniel Marricone, says that Spurlock has “definitely got the holy grail.” Does this mean he found it, well according to sources, this is what happens. This is a Spoiler Alert, so stop reading now if you don’t want to know what happens.

“At the end of the movie, he is about to go into the Tribal Area of Pakistan, where a huge sign says no outsiders allowed, you will be shot. He thinks about his kid and decided to turn around.”

“It’s a funny movie, and it shows crazy footage. He basically goes in the middle east and finds out why everyone hates America. It does offer a interesting look in the middle east, a different view that Americans haven’t seen before. But no Bin Laden.”

And that’s basically it. Again, none of this is confirmed at this point, but seems likely. I’m sure the movie will still be very interesting, but most likely of course, no Bin Laden.

The Joker

Release Date: July 18th, 2008

Well the crappy bootleg version of this trailer hit the web earlier this weekend, but now the full trailer is available online.  If you want to see the trailer in the theater you’ll have to go see “I Am Legend”.  Heath Ledger looks like an amazing Joker.  I must admit, I was skeptical at first, but he really pulled it off.  Check out the Trailer.  Click Here

This is an extended clip of part of the movie “Cloverfield”. J.J. Abrams introduces the clip, so just tough it out past that. I was afraid of a bigger budget “Blair Witch Project”, but this actually looks really good. If you don’t get excited about this movie from this clip, then you just don’t like movies.

Release Date: June 13, 2008

This is the first official teaser poster of M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie, “The Happening” from comingsoon.net. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg as a man who takes his family on the run, in an attempt to survive a natural global environmental crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity. Mother Nature is sick of our polluting ways and has decided that we must go. An invisible neurotoxin is admitted into the air which causes people to become suicidal.

The interesting thing about this film is that it is M. Night Shyamalan’s first venture into “R” rated territory. Perhaps he feels the need to up the ante after “Signs” and “The Village”. However, I have to say that the tagline on the poster is incredibly corny, “We’ve Sensed It, We’ve Seen The Signs, Now…It’s Happening”. Yeah, the poster could have done without that.

Release Date: 29 February 2008

Will Ferrell is Jackie Moon, the owner-coach-player of the American Basketball Association’s Flint Michigan Tropics, who rallies his teammates to make their NBA dreams come true. If it stars Will Ferrell it’s bound to be good for some laughs. Check out the trailer.

21 Movie

Release Date: March 28th, 2008

21 is based on the true story of the MIT students who beat Vegas.  The story is actually very interesting if it stays true to actual events.  The story is about a group of MIT students who train with one of their teachers to count cards and become a very effective card counting team.  They manage to walk away with millions of dollars from Las Vegas casinos, at least until the casinos start to catch on.

I am Legend

Warner Bros. screened the new Will Smith movie “I Am Legend” and has ordered a reshoot of the films ending.  It hasn’t been said for sure what the problem is, just that the studio isn’t happy.  Maybe they want a quicker paced more action packed ending.  This movie is about a month from release, so they better double time it if they want to get it out in time.

Here is the full story from CHUD.
