Battlefield 3 is going to dethrone COD

I feel that this year COD is going down, year after year, they have been feeding us the same game re-skinned over and over again.

This year though there is a legit contender to not only challenge, but take the crown from COD, aka BF3.

Why do I say this? Well there are a few reasons why I say this, BF3 is going to give us a lot more options than COD and it is something new, COD had its run but people will play the same thing over and over so many times (Guitar Hero). BF 3 has superior graphics and the series always had superior gameplay to the the COD franchise.

Granted they hardcore CODers, will still play COD and badmouth etc etc, you will have that with every game, fans that are so loyal that they are blinded to the gameplay, etc and will just buy it because of the name.

BF3 is going to have squad based combat, destructible environments, objective based gameplay, vehicles, jets, and ways for a person to be and feel useful even if they are not the best shot with a gun, they can heal people, revive them, supply people with ammunition, provide suppression fire, repair vehicles, lay down minefields, remove minefields, spot enemies, and capture objectives.

BF3 will also be more of a tactical team based game, where people must work together to win, not just run around and gun, though they will have deathmatch modes.

I for one am excited for something new, something different, as I am tired of the same old COD regurgitation with a little reskinning and calling it a new game.
